Environmental Policy

Environmental Policy Statement

Environmental Products & Services Ltd, is a family run engineering business with operations north and south of Ireland and China. The organisation is committed to the principles of sustainable development.

We have examined our business activities and identified where we have the potential to impact on the environment. We will use this policy as a framework for establishing objectives& targets to deliver continual improvement.

The company will provide all resources required to ensure the successful implementation of its environmental policy, through the development of a documented environmental/quality management system, based on the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008. In particular we will:

1. Encourage effective resource management; encompassing the reduction of resource consumption, waste minimisation, and recycling.
2. Identify the potential for pollution and establish measures for the prevention of pollution.
3. Comply with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and codes of practice and to keep abreast of all changes in legislation.
4. Identify environmental risks during any project planning process, to assess their likely impact on the local, national and global eco-systems.
5. Provide ongoing environmental training to all staff (and sub-contractors) to increase awareness of the potential environmental effects of their activities and maintain continual improvement.
6. The continuous improvement of environmental performance throughout the activities of the business.
7. Develop effective procedures for response to the incident or emergency situations and thereby avoiding or minimising environmental damage.
   We will regularly review our environmental performance, via systems audits and management meetings.
